Continental Clothing is the original superior clothing ready to print
One of the suppliers we work closely with is Continental Clothing, and we wanted to put the spotlight onto them to highlight why we have chosen them as a brand we work with.
There are many reasons we choose to work with Continental Clothing, and we’ll discuss these reason below. If you haven’t heard of Continental Clothing, their garments are renown their high quality designs in advanced fabrics. Their design prioritise quality, fashion and value – which means they’re a brand that align with Garment Printing values too.
The Continental brand originated in London around 1996, and their reputation quickly grew and strengthened in the t-shirt industry. They’re also award-winning, and have received several industry awards from the best London business, through numerous environmental and corporate responsibility prizes.

One of our main suppliers, Continental Clothing Co. control the process of almost 70% of the yarns used in production, with the remaining sourced externally from equally ethical sources and the yarns that are used are fully combed and also ring spun, making the quality of our yarns and fabrics the highest quality garments.
All the fabrics are knitted at their in house factories, and dyed with GOTS approved chemicals, using low water & controlled waste discharge process controls, certified with Oeko Tex 100 Class I standards and conforming to REACH. (We have at least 4 other brands that provide Oeko Tex standards to ensure all our products are of highest safety and quality).
90% Reduced Carbon Footprint making it low-impact on the environment
Continental Clothing has been working with the Carbon Trust since 2007, and this works towards reducing the brand’s carbon footprint. The products are made in facilities powered by green renewable energy, from low-impact raw materials.
Products carrying the Salvage symbol, are made from 100% recycled materials
Continental Clothing salvage the cuttings from organic cotton textile production, they also add fibres made from locally recycled plastic bottles. Salvage labelled products are certified under the Global Recycle Standard (GRS) and the Organic Content Standard (OCS) by the Control Union Certifications. Licence number CU828402.
Products with the Fair Share label carry a small price premium that is passed directly on to the garment workers in India towards their Living Wage.
Continental Clothing put their garment workers first, ensuring that workers receive a minimum living wage. Even a small additional fee of 10p to the price of a T-shirt, or 54p to the price of a hoody, will result in a 50% increase in the wages of the poorest workers at the Continental Clothing factory in India.
This important benchmark was calculated for minimum earnings required to provide a decent living for a typical family in the area. Continental Clothing believe a living wage should cover the basic needs of their workers and their families, allow for some savings and must be earned within a 48 hours working week.
