Garment Printing is proud to be supporting the residents of Whiteley Village, an Almshouse retirement community of almost 400 elderly people in Weybridge, Surrey. Life has been far from normal for those in Whiteley Village, which is the largest group of elderly and/or retired people in the UK, and the current lockdown conditions have been challenging.
With key workers on hand, the community is pulling through this pandemic every day, working hard to make sure residents can get their essential supplies. From food and medicine deliveries, to waste disposal workers and bus drivers, the welfare of Whiteley’s residents has been maintained throughout.
To celebrate these efforts, the people of Whiteley Village have chosen to show their appreciation with the “Whiteley Village Local Hero 2020 Award Medal T-Shirt” — and of course, here at Garment Printing we were more than happy to help out! We helped the Whiteley Village beneficiaries to produce a bespoke, personalised t-shirt design for the occasion, and we loved seeing the pictures of Whiteley’s key workers being presented with the final product!
We worked closely with Andrea Shirland of The Beneficiaries of The Whiteley Village Trust, and she expressed how delighted she was to present these unsung heroes with the t shirts, as recognition for their extraordinary efforts in overcoming the challenges of the pandemic.
